One of my favourite places in Northern Ireland lis a little pathway that leads to an open grassland area called the Ballynoe Stone Circle. Inside the tunnel of trees is nice and cool from the shelter of trees but beautiful rays of sunlight dapple into the pathway. Plus, all the studio ghibli films I’ve been binging on really inspired me to attempt a digital painting. I wanted to capture the chaotic beauty of nature. I definitely need to thank @lucky.melon . After taking her online gouache course, I went ahead and bought all her digital brushes too. I learnt so much from her. I feel like I am able to see differently now. A tree used to just be a tree to me and now I notice the glimmering highlights and shadows. Its almost like meditation and I’ve been enjoying being more present in the moment. Anyways, hope you enjoy this painting. I really wanted to capture the light in this one. Thought it would be nice to add some wildflowers.
