Big advantages: 🚀 Cost Efficiency: Using your own preferred tool eliminates the need for 3rd party #SaaS software tools, which can often be expensive and misaligned to narrower use cases. 🔍 Transparency: Making the roadmap public is a generally sound strategy for a #buildinpublic project, and making even your app's flaws public builds trust and user confidence. Well, as long as you fix them 😀. 👥 User Engagement: Involving users in feedback fosters community and engagement. And if you're not systematically listening to your users, and giving yourself a means of taking action on their feedback, sorry, but you're doing it wrong. 🔄 Streamlined Feedback Loop: A public board allows you to rapidly identify issues and collect feature requests. I get a text message via Twilio every time someone submits a recommendation or bug. Because user friction points can be the death of new software. 🤝 Community Building: By giving users a voice in your development process, they become stakeholders and brand advocates. 🛠️ Agile Development: Perfect for iterative, user-driven development methods leke #agile and #scrum. Sure, this approach has some drawbacks, such as quality control, privacy concerns, expectation management, and platform limitations. But I still wouldn't do it any other way.
