R to @gavangavan: today's update caused the recording mode problem in analyzing songs of music app again. Those files completely downloaded to local device. why that problem occurs ?

R to @gavangavan: My all songs in iTMS are all "purchased", not subscribed in Apple Music. Some blog articles specifies that subscribed songs are DRM encrypted even downloaded but purchased songs are no longer DRM when downloaded. iTMS seems to prohibit for any apps to access streaming songs.

R to @chordaiapp: Inspired by your "DRM" related possibility, I found that the song in the iTMS cloud(not downloaded in local device) cannot be analyzed(recording mode invoked) but the locally downloaded song can be analyzed successfully!! Downloaded songs are encoded in m4a file (no DRM).

R to @gavangavan: Interesting! Then we have to investigate this. Thank you.

R to @chordaiapp: but the same song downloaded from music store can be played and analyzed by iPhone but not by iPad and Mac. DRM is hard to be considered as the cause.

R to @gavangavan: It is most likely due to the facts that most songs are DRM protected and hence Chord ai has no access to audio data for analysis. It has to rely on the microphone instead.

R to @hubermanlab: And then we will need meta-analysis podcast just like in research.

R to @gavangavan: Maybe that phenomenon seems be caused by existence of mic recording device. Anyway a bit strange .

R to @gavangavan: @chordaiapp This trouble has been solved by app update on iPhone(iOS), but iPadOS and macOS version still have the same trouble : recording from mic mode is forcibly invoked when analyzing a music stored in the device. Youtube analysis has no troubles.

@chordaiapp maybe after the last update for iOS, app forcefully invoke mic recording mode, no file analysis mode is available. in some of past updates caused the same trouble but the next update solved it.

R to @chordaiapp: Hello I’m experiencing this exact same problem on virtually every song off YouTube, are other people you’re aware of still having/reporting this issue?

@chordaiapp I love this app so far! Unfortunately whenever I try to add lyrics, the app shuts down and doesn’t complete the lyric additions. It’s so close to being perfect though!! Thanks for all you do ❤️
