Perplexity and Semrush are both research tools, but they serve different functions. Perplexity is an LLM that facilitates searching for information in regular sources, while Semrush is a specialized search engine that provides the "best" content in a particular niche and displays several metrics, including keywords and engagement on Facebook (for example).
