Managed to wake up early and make small but valuable UX improvements to some of the pages of @goEnVsion Little one is getter better too. I’m back on the attack.

R to @svpino: 💯 I use Jupyter notebooks all the time now to prototype new AI features for @goEnVsion . No HTML, no css yet, no infra. Just pure Python to test out my crazy ideas.

Been doing a lot of prompt engineering for this new @goEnVsion feature. It's fun and frustrating at the same time... I'm currently using gpt-3.5-turbo-16k because I feed it a lot of text. I've realised need to be very detail-oriented with the prompt to make sure GPT "complies". But even when I do sometimes it still goes wild. I wonder if GPT-4 "complies" better 🤔. I'd be keen to try it for my use case but I need a much bigger context window than GPT-4's 8K tokens. Anyone knows how to get access to GPT-4 32K :) ?

Woke up at 4:30AM again today. Was planning to spend 45 minutes on marketing later this morning but I had too much fun (and was also stuck) prototyping @goEnVsion's new AI feature. Now I have to start the full time job 😅

Been prototyping a new @goEnVsion AI feature creates reports containing the common themes, pain points, and feature requests across multiple customer interviews . It works. It’s exciting. But I’m dreading building the front-end for it because I’m still shit at this 😩.

R to @Qw4z1: Yeah I came to a similar conclusion a while back but was hoping I was wrong because I didn't consider more variables. A Free Plan just doesn't work for us. We will serve Free Trial on the menu soon instead.

R to @Ed_Forson: I had this discussion with a team just the other day. I think Free plan makes sense if there is some sort of virality built into the product (users attracting users) and if the cost of running the software doesn't scale linearly with usage. Don't think Free works w/o both.

It was good while it lasted, but @goEnVsion's Free Plan has to go. I'm replacing it with a Free Trial because: - Video storage and processing + AI is expensive - I can't sustain these costs on my own, especially with the little one starting nursery at £1.5K/month soon 😬 - The Free Plan is too generous: some users have got all the value from EnVsion by just staying on the Free Plan and never engaged with me when I reached out. My fault for being too kind really 🤨 - I want to shorten the time to conversion to a paid customer and understand why users convert/don't convert 💰. Introducing a Free Trial enables me to have this conversation earlier rather than later - Free Plan works well for products that have some kind of built-in viral factor/loop (e.g. Typeform, Loom, etc.) . I don't think EnVsion currently has this profile :( . Anyone else switched from Freemium to Free Trial recently? Why did you do it?

Today is the day! I've just launched Auto-Highlight, the latest AI feature on @goEnVsion that helps UX Researchers save 2 hours per user interview. Auto-Highlight automatically identifies questions from researchers and creates highlights of the answers from participants to speed up analysis of user interviews. Last - but not least - we also send out an email that contains all questions and summarised answers for quick review. I dreamed of this feature at the end of last year. This summer I brought it to life😍. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
