We've been working on this product for two years, making incremental changes to it daily and releasing updates 2-3 times a week. This approach is great for product development, but there's one downside: you never get the feeling of accomplishing something huge since all the changes are subtle. It's similar to not noticing your growth as a kid. R to @neeldhara: In Notion, one of the issues is that checking off a todo does not automatically update the status tag or vice verse (I suppose you could setup an automation, I haven’t tried), and I often update one or the other and the tasks table is a mess. +

R to @neeldhara: I’ve been a long time Things user, so going back won’t be that hard. I only miss Kanban and calendar views but TBH even when I did have those setup elaborately I didn’t use them as much as I thought I would. Filtered tag views in Things and “upcoming” may just be good enough 🫣

R to @nerdymomocat: Or maybe @instant_notion even (works offline/ability to move notes around for those you have added from the app). For me, the friction in notion comes from the fact that their page content and page properties are disjointed.

R to @nerdymomocat: @hintsflow is a bit messy, but if you do end up choosing Notion, it is possibly the best way I have found to not lose my mind. Notion might release AI based chat sometime I assume (though that would be an expensive add-on), and that might make it easier to work with Notion ig.

At @hintsflow , we're big fans of ChatSpot, the latest AI innovation of @dharmesh, the CTO of @HubSpot. We often use it to find suitable companies for our campaigns and to draft emails. However, I've noticed some need for clarification among our users, who often ask about the distinction between @chatspotai and @hintsflow. Comparing these tools doesn't make sense since they were designed for different purposes. @chatspotai is a versatile tool suited for a myriad of applications. In contrast, @hintsflow is tailored only to ensure your CRM data remains current, clean, and free from duplicates and inaccurate information. While @chatspotai offers this functionality, they only invest a little in its development because it's not their primary focus. It's not a direct comparison when contrasting a product made solely for updating CRM with a minor feature of another great product. Nevertheless, I understand that I need to clarify this for our users. Here's a comparison focusing solely on their capturing capabilities: 1. Desktop vs Mobile: ChatSpot prioritizes the desktop experience. Hints is centered around a mobile experience supporting WhatsApp, SMS, and Telegram as interfaces for capturing info. 2. Templates vs Voice/Text Commands in Natural Language: ChatSpot provides a variety of templates that are easily accessible on desktop. We allow users to submit updates via voice or text in natural language (see the example in my video). 3. Support of Memory: ChatSpot explicitly states it doesn't retain memory to recall or reference past messages in a thread. For us, memory is essential because sales reps frequently reference a deal they've recently updated to send another note or log another call (see the example in my video). 4. Catching Duplicates: To my knowledge, ChatSpot cannot detect a duplicate if you create a deal or contact that already exists. This is because memory is essential for posing follow-up questions about the duplicates (as demonstrated in my video). In conclusion, I'd like to thank @HubSpot for creating an excellent ecosystem for their clients. Hints is honored to be a part of the HubSpot marketplace.
