R to @arvidkahl: Depends on what solution you choose. JWT-based auth is not hard to grasp at all and something more complicated than that is probably not needed for most apps. Obviously you shouldn't write your own cryptographic algorithms but I don't think auth should be a black box.

R to @gonza_nardini: Massively important to understand the concepts behind it, which often leads to the realization that you wouldn’t be able to build a secure system in the first place ;)

R to @arvidkahl: You should still understand how auth works from a security POV, otherwise you are prone to make mistakes in its usage.

R to @DannyHabibs: For some things, like my bank, this looks great. For most other things this seems way too invasive privacy-wise. Also, with AI I'm sure people will find ways to beat this system eventually (probably sooner rather than later).

R to @gonza_nardini: machine code is hard to read for humans. I don't think AI will be affected by choice of notation once developed past a certain point. Distilled understanding in models isn't language specific. Notation and abstraction are human oriented tools
