💍 But “fiancé” and “fiancée” are homophones, meaning they’re pronounced identically. The difference in spelling (the extra ‘e’ at the end) comes from the French origin of the word, where nouns have gender-specific forms. #LanguageTool

R to @jbmorgado: Hello there, thanks for reaching out. It's always not the best way to represent languages by flags. We f. ex. also use the US flag for “English”. This is only due to the main target groups (Brazil & the US) and has nothing to do with the language history. 👍
