R to @SlackHQ: Even on its own (your new design) this is still taking up too much screen real-estate. There's already a sidebar, and this information is not important enough that it can't be hidden 99% of the time. Don't copy Microsoft's awful UX (m365) decisions and just pile on UX elements.

I was today years old... When I found out you can do this on @SlackHQ When you type a hex code in a message, the color it represents will show up right in the text
