RT by @chrisrickard: Competitive analysis. Study 20 websites of your competitors... 1. Does your website look very different? Perhaps this is a problem. 2. Does your website look exactly the same? Perhaps this is a problem. You want to stand out from the crowd... but not too far out.

R to @3ogopolis: Niching by itself won't magically solve all your agencies problems. It does make sense in many ways, but it's difficult to achieve in practice.

R to @chrisrickard: Good thread and insights, but I would add that niching down works only once you already have a consistent funnel of new projects/clients. Then you can specialise based on your team's capabilities and by doing that increase productivity & margins.

The best way to build your business: By remembering all business advice is biased (including this), and that you are the only one who truly knows what works for you.
