The foul year of our lord 2023 will forever go down as having one of the greatest summers of our lives! . 1.)Leš (who's last name is "Corpse", for real!) and myself in front of an abandoned Yugoslav submarine port on the island of Vis. This one allegedly housed the formidable "Sava class" P-831 attack submarine. . 2.)The great thing about sailing the open seas is that you can literally find the most random rock sticking out of the sea and board it and have a picnic there! Also being dragged behind the ship at 9 Knots was pretty fun too. . 3.)The paradise island of Palagruža in the very center of the Adriatic sea! Housing nothing but a lighthouse and two very generous keepers who welcomed us with such kindness! . 4.)They prepared for us their daily catch which was red scorpion fish and they served it with homemade wine and olive oil. Easily one of the best tasting fish ever even though I later found out it's venomous. . 5.)Two summer goths on our trusty steed - the "Lula". . 6.)Slowly approaching the submarine tunnels that line the entire coast of former Yugoslavia. . 7.)And of course we had to stop, swim and explore the interior of the once cyclopean complex. . 8.)"The sea is a cruel mistress", but she is just so beautiful. . 9.)One step closer to achieving my dream and living in my very own lighthouse! . . . . . . . #travel #adventure #abandoned #places #abandonedplaces #lostplaces #urbex #urbexyugoslavia #yugoslavia #sea #summer #sailing #ship #travelcroatia #navy #military #history #nemanjabogdanov #ivanles #crocs #croclife
