When growing up it was challenging. The odd one in the class, hiding from social situations, frustrations, a stickler for routine without change. Poor motor skills. Sent out of the class, but bright. With support, and a largely mainstream education that changed, I developed, I learned and spoke more fluently. I developed friendships and could read more social cues. I immersed in the same neuro typical world that others did, and trialed and errored within it, rather than evade it It wasn't until university where I fully became me to the greatest potential and vigour, which led me on a decisive path to 12 successful years as a town planner working my way up. I wanted to do that since I was 12, and got there but recent times have turned towards a new skill I never envisaged all those years ago... Now as the gardening bug has truly got me and as I've found my feet in this I'm looking forward to the next chapter where I can give to those who may be in that situation where I was. A chance for them to shine to the potential that they almost certainly have. The power of gardening to me has been exceptional and that includes the freedom of expression and personality that seems to shine out naturally from doing it.
