Are you ready to witness Toy Story history? Toy Story is about to be seen in it's truly original form, the way it was originally seen in theaters!! You may remember back in March I had made a post about this reel that was for sale at the time and since then it was purchased by @tristanthepianoboi and he is currently raising money for it to be shipped. This is not a cheap project by any means so feel free if you would like to donate! I remember someone at Pixar (Maybe Lee Unkrich?) a few years ago when being asked in a tweet talking about if he preferred the original film look and I recall him saying that the digital is very much the preferred look as it looks a lot better. I'm not at all surprised seeing as how Pixar is very much known for always trying to look the best and push computer animation forward but I personally don't care for the digital look as its just so...flat. Tristan does a good job here explaining what makes the film so great. I never thought I'd see this happen and I can't imagine there are many other film reels for this movie still out there so this may be the only chance to ever see Toy Story in it's purest form.
