Arise, the Desert Rose from the Namib. Confidently our Miss Supranational Namibia 2023, Romily Hoffmann, strides out for the evaluation of the National Costume part of this pageant tonight. This evaluation is not live but will be recorded and aired as part of the crowning event. The Desert Rose costume was inspired by the Beauty and Resilience of the Namibian Desert Rose (Sand Selenite) and the Golden Sand Hues of the early morning sun hitting the vast Desert Sands. Designed to look as if it is growing out of the body, a Body Armour of this Beautiful Natural Phenomenon as our Namibian Goddess walks into the arena tonight. The Cape is bedazzled with hundreds of Swarovski Diamante and represents the fluidity and movement of the ever-changing Dunes of this beautiful Desert-landscape. Over five thousand Glass Beads and Chrystal Diamante were used to adorn this costume. The spring steel wire covered with beaded fabrics were individually added to a nude tone bodice to create the effect of strength and sparkle, typically seen on the Desert Rose.
