Here’s my attempt at the 2 hour knife challenge. Made this during a competition with @yelles_cutlery @taylordc2017 @patriotic.forge.2.0 over at @davidlisch ‘s shop for the 4th of July. Thanks again for letting me try my hand! Starting stock was 1 inch square 5160 about 6 inches long. Only the very first heat were we allowed use of the power hammer. Everything else was done by hand. Forging, grinding, heat treating, and handle glueing/shaping was all done within 2 hours. This was the first time I’d put myself up to a timed test in knife making since forged in fire and it was actually a lot of fun to do it again!
