Evening all. Hope you’ve all had a good weekend? If you’ve followed along for a while you’ll probably guess mine’s been a busy one 🫣 If you’ve seen my stories you’ll have seen the repointing prep continues at the front of the house. (I am saving the progress in my highlight ‘lime pointing’ if you have missed it and want to catch up) I never actually set out to repoint the whole cottage and I can’t actually believe I’m half way round. But I love a challenge and nothing much phases me. Spurring me on more than anything is releasing all that beautiful stone from the hard, non permeable cement that is trapping the damp and starting to cause damage to the stone face. And quite frankly it’s so ugly, so as an added bonus the stone is singing and looking absolutely gorgeous.
