Welcome to the beautiful @newtonvineyard tasting room in Calistoga. I had the pleasure to attend a tasting event here a few months ago, organized by the lovely Tilden from @terroir_matters. Located in the heart of Calistoga, this modern and elegant tasting room boasts panoramic views of the vineyard and mountain range, welcoming guests for an immersive experience. We had the opportunity to taste several of Newton’s iconic mountain wines, including their famous red blend, The Puzzle, which has been a flagship for Newton since 1992. The Puzzle blends the different terroirs and the five classic Bordeaux grape varieties into a singular wine and was one of my personal favorites. We also had the unique opportunity to taste a 94 Merlot which was a real treat and several Chardonnays from barrel. Add this one to you list of wineries to visit next time you’re in Calistoga.
