Growing up, I always thought of people with money and high paying jobs to be successful. My family doctor, the lawyer down the street, or the family who lives in a huge mansion. I thought they had it all. My immigrant parents would see Hollywood movies and thought that living the American dream was the definition of success. That’s what they aspired to be, and that’s what I thought I wanted. It wasn’t until my mid-20s where I realized that I just want to be happy, do things I’m passionate about, spend time with loved ones, be able to travel and pursue my hobbies ❤️ It wasn’t about the material things, or the job title or salary.
