When you are sick making friends is hard, and keeping them is even harder. People have a difficult time understanding that your body has limits you can’t control and , especially as a kid, that makes friendships rough. But, every so often, a friend come along that is better than anything you could have ever hoped for. That friend for me is miranda. M and I met two years ago and since then she has become my biggest supporter, my oldest sister, my best friend and my family. Miranda understands me in a way that no one else ever has, she knows how it feels to be the sick kid. Miranda is my safe space and I love her more than I can put into words.
