after watching the start of this year’s Hardrock 100 in Silverton, Walter and I cruised out to do Sneffels - a 14’er right outside Ouray, Colorado. my map took us to ‘A’ trailhead for Sneffels but not ‘THE’ trailhead for Sneffels I intended to start from. I got a little confused and a little disheartened .. so naturally, I took a nap! when I woke up we went out for a little hike and whoa - we ended up like, a quarter mile from the summit! unfortunately, it was a bunch of sharp, loose rock and I heard the final push was a sketchy couloir that I didn’t want to attempt with Walt, sooo..
