Hi there! Yeah, I’m starting to feel better now. Something I haven’t talked about lately is my mental health. Several months ago I got really bad. Like, almost pre transition bad. It reached its apex a few weeks ago. I knew then i needed to take charge of my mental health. After seeing my psychiatrist, and admitting to myself that I wasn’t well, I chose to start medication to help make myself better. So far, I’m seeing a difference, but it takes time for the medicine to have full effect. So, I wait for it. I decided to become a champion for my own personnel mental health and a strong advocate for those who might be scared or embarrassed to ask for help. If you think you need help but are scared to ask for it, don’t be. I was. I needed the help. Another close friend of mine is going through a similar battle in their head, and they helped me realize that it takes real strength to admit to yourself that if you need help, that you should get it.
