Today Ziggy had her first visit with the amazing team at Cornell Veterinary Specialists who are going to help us through this! 💪🏻🙏🏼🥰 We are so relieved to know she is in the best hands possible and she was happy as can be to meet all her new friends and get all the attention (her tail didn’t stop wagging). Last week we decided to do a bone biopsy to get a second opinion and confirm for certain it’s osteosarcoma. However, her bone biopsy results came back inconclusive which was a surprise. All the specialists, pathologists, and oncologists are still convinced it’s osteosarcoma, but there is now a possibility that it could be 2 other (more rare) bone cancers. We know for certain she has a bone tumor but we need a definitive diagnosis before we can begin treatment, so now we wait for additional test results on the biopsy to come back.
