Rugops Rugops was a theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 95 million years ago, and is classified as a member of the Abelisauridae family. In terms of size, Rugops was a relatively small dinosaur compared to some of its famous relatives. It measured around 5 to 6 meters in length and likely weighed around 410 to 900 kilograms. One of the most intriguing features of Rugops is its distinctive skull. Fossils of this dinosaur revealed an unusual arrangement of bony crests and bumps on the skull, which set it apart from other theropods.
