🕊 In Memory of Dr. Dana Ali 🕊 While the war in Ukraine certainly holds the media attention, efforts around the world with GSMSG continue. Today, we bid farewell to an extraordinary man who touched the lives of thousands. Dr. Dana Ali, the director of the Peshmerga military hospital for the Kurdish armed forces, unexpectedly left us yesterday, leaving a void in our hearts and a profound sense of loss within our humanitarian and medical community. Dr. Ali was not just a leader; he was an inspiration, and an essential part of our GSMSG team in Kurdistan. His unwavering commitment to our mission became the cornerstone of our work in Iraq, providing medical training and education to literally thousands of Kurdish medical professionals during the toughest times in the fight against ISIS. His compassion and dedication transformed lives, and our ability to reach thousands was thanks to him. Today, as we mourn the loss of this exceptional human being, we also celebrate the incredible impact he made. Let us honor his memory by continuing the important work he started, uplifting and healing those in need, and training others, just as he did with unwavering dedication. Rest in peace, Dr. Dana Ali.
