Can’t believe I did chop her 💇‍♀️🙈 but I had to operate ! She suffered a massive sun burn in my absence on her crown and there was no way the green leaves were coming back. What clicked best was to prune off the affected top, let the plant invest it’s energy at right places and hope it pushes new leaves🤞🏻 In fact July has been pretty much about taking care of all my plants (people who follow my stories know well), thought I would compile some clips & let you know that there’s STILL TIME LEFT for you to do these activities- 🌿 PRUNING: If you want to control any plant’s growth, if you want a plant growing vertically straight to have side branching, if you’re making hedges/bonsai - it’s time when you can pick your cutting shears ✂️ and play chop chop ! Your plants find it easy to adapt this change in monsoon. Bas thoda मरहम पट्टी (dressing) kar dena on the exposed cut by adding turmeric/fungicide powder. 🌿 PROPAGATION: Jo bhi cuttings nikal rahi hai from pruning, remember 80-90% of it can be propagated and aap usse new plants bana sakte ho. I mostly prefer Leca balls in water. 🌿 FERTILISING: It the growing season, if any of your plants still not making any progress since long, this can be a signal your plant needs food ! For all my indoor tropical ornamental plants I prefer adding 200-300 ml of seaweed liquid fertiliser solution. Rain itself is a natural fertiliser, when you combine with a supplementary boost, the result is magical. 🌿 REPOTTING: Pots ke drainage holes se roots ab bahar nikal rahe hai, you can think of shifting them to bigger homes now. The best practice is - always go for 2-4 inches bigger pot than the size of your current plant pot.
