At last - some new local work! I felt a bit disappointed in myself when I realised that our photography wander last Monday was my first local outing since early May. Still, it was a nice birthday treat to benefit from being back in the woods with Meg and a friend. Only 3 days later and I was out again for an early morning amble close to home. I made a few images but this is one of the standout compositions which benefitted from a transient moment of soft sunlight trying to breakthrough the rainclouds. Stillness, dampness, sprawling mossy oak trees, and solitude - oh how I've missed it! Frustratingly, just as the weather improves and my eagerness peaks, my back goes into spasm! Today I'll unfortunately have to rest and avoid sitting. Coffee and books is the extent of the agenda, but here's some positive news..... MY FIRST CALENDAR!
