and let’s get a few things clear (read plz!) . . diet culture is NOT FOR KIDS. they dont control the household food. they don’t buy groceries. they dont cook. your activities are influenced by your family. growing up is inherently getting bigger so making kids think they need to be smaller is gonna give them a difficult relationship with their body when they inevitably fail you. . . also before anyone comes with “she did it bc she loved me” or “it was her best intention” or “her doctor told her to” or “stop blaming your mom for your problems” - i urge you to remember that healing from a wound created from good intention is still worth healing from and acknowledging. knowing those things to be true and still identifying hurt can coincide. . . #fatpositive #plussize #fatrhetoric #bodyliberation #antidietculture
