Whenever I envision giant ancient libraries, I picture a place where books float around and where book dragons roam freely, protecting the tales and scrolls. They love to look fancy with hats and scarves and they always sneak in some reading time, even when they actually have to store away the books and keep the library tidy, haha. When I was in the middle of closing my shop, I didn’t draw anything. I had no extra energy to spare and when I closed that chapter, I realized that I hadn't picked up a brush or a pencil for over a month! This Curious Book Keeper was one of the first designs I captured and I don’t think that I’ll ever get tired of drawing piles of books and curious magical creatures. Whenever I draw these elements, I’m able to immediately tap back into a magical realm again. The way I create art has never been linked to e.g. a daily practice. My art has always lived in how I’m inspired by what I experience and feel. I used to feel a bit odd for not being a “typical” artist, sharing a lot of sketches or drawing outside, but over time I came to understand that creative energy can move in many ways.
