Part.1 Continuing our European vacation, we embarked on a high-speed ferry adventure from Mykonos to Santorini, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The journey took approximately two hours and 40 minutes, but it felt like a bit of a roller-coaster ride across the sparkling azure waters of the Aegean Sea. My brother had warned me about the ferry trip, but I wasn’t fully prepared for what he meant. It wasn’t terrible, but it certainly had its moments, especially when you’re lugging around a suitcase that seems to weigh as much as a person up 2 flights of narrow stairs on a moving boat. With no help from the crew during loading and unloading, the experience was .. well, an experience. For anyone planning a similar trip, I would highly recommend choosing Minoan Lines over SeaJets. Though it wasn’t without its challenges, Minoan Lines provided a smoother ride and more comfortable amenities. If you have the chance, splurge on the business class or VIP tickets. Despite no special boarding privileges, it’s well worth it for the added comfort and a touch of luxury during the journey. As we approached Santorini, the anticipation grew, and we couldn’t wait to set foot on the iconic island with its stunning sunsets and white-washed architecture.
