Back at my writing retreat after a lovely pride weekend in Hamburg, hence the choice of nicely gay music. I wish the guy I saw on the train today who wore a “Nationaler Widerstand” T-shirt (national resistance – go figure what this could mean in Germany) had to listen to this all day and night. I also wish someone had told me in the 80s that all the musicians I loved as a kid weren’t just weird, but queer. Would have made coming out so much easier. Anyway, I drew the word »pivot« a week ago for day 20 of #30daysoflettering. That day I took a different approach to a text I wrote the week before and it was quite exciting. Still not sure you’ll read an international bestseller penned by yours sincerely any time soon. But things are happening.
