🚨Long Post Warning 🚨 1st slide was me doing an object freestyle at the end of Gin & Juice. Much love to the guy who didn’t want to give me his $20 but eventually threw it on the stage. Now for some band praises. First off, @honest_in_10land you are a true solider and I admire your tenacity. I know you were under a lot of physical pain but you still delivered a hell of a show. Hopefully you’re able to see a doctor soon (Dr Dre doesn’t count). Second, @cynthiaroseyoga you had some big shoes to fill and you did the damn thing. KC told me when you first learning to rap, “when Cynthia sets her mind to do something, she does it,” and you’ve proved that time and time again. I really admire your ability accomplish everything you set out to, no matter the task. Third, props to @ryan_trujillo2112 for stepping up and conducting the local musicians. I know you were super stressed but you made it happen and it was very appreciated. Next, @genesisvalentinemusic & @orchkeystra_music your solos that night were some of if not your best and it’s so dope seeing you both constantly grow. Also, thanks for being the only 2 willing to try the 4 million Scoville Mac Dog hot sauce with me. @orchkeystra_music you are definitely the spice master in this band. How you took 4 dabs of it and were fairly unfazed was incredibly impressive. Lastly, thanks to @chrissybender513 @blase_groody @queencityquartet @jazztbn251 @trptprof & Megan for holding down the string and horn sections. Without our main sax and viola player, we were a little worried but y’all delivered and then some! Wasn’t expecting this to be our last show, but the promoters unfortunately cancelled the last 3. Even though I’m sad, I’m so grateful and impressed by my band’s resilience and how that crowd will never know how many things went wrong that night! We were thrown so many curveballs and we still pulled through like true champions we are!
