Here’s all my secrets for dreamy detail shots on a wedding day ✨ 1. Play around with shadows and different lighting 2. Find items around the venue that you can incorporate into the photo. This could be anything. For this wedding I found these two pine cones! Be creative, you can usually find something🫶 3. Use an area in the venue as the backdrop. I usually opt for the cool tile, stone, wood table or chair, a vintage book I find laying around… even the grass! Anything I can find that incorporates the surroundings of the day. 4. Ask the florist if there are lose flowers that you can use, and place them throughout the flat lay 5. Let your couple know to place everything they might want for the detail/flat lay shot in a box or bag for you to use once you arrive to the location- this way as soon as you get there, you can get right into detail shots. 6. Using an 85mm lens for detail shots and just on wedding days in general is life changing.
