Recently I enjoyed a pleasurable afternoon touring the award winning winery @pillitteriwines Whether you are a wine connoisseur or a sports enthusiast, the collaboration between Pillitteri Estates Winery and Canadian olympic sprinting sensation, @de6rasse is not to be missed Celebrating excellence in both wine making and athletics, this limited edition wine is a true tribute to passion and dedication Having the opportunity to taste and acquire a bottle of the Reserved classified wine Andre De Grasse 19.62 was a truly remarkable experience that was fully augmented by the warm hospitality of Pillitteri’s cellar team who are incredibly knowledgeable about the wine and the wine making process - something that I personally take great interest in. The distinct flavours of the wine come from both the grapes select to create the masterpiece along with the process . The grapes of the Corvina, Cabernet Franc blend are racked-dried in a single layer for 30 days in fruttaio rooms which is a traditional appassimento style of wine making. Then barrel aged in new French oak.
