༄ғᴏᴜʀᴛʜ•ᴡɪɴɢ༆ What can I say about this book what isn’t said yet? This book was turning me into a time traveler 🧳 back to my teenage years when I read HP for the first time. I could feel those vibes again… But it’s not only the magic that I loved in this story. It’s also the way @rebeccayarros presents chronic illness. Although the book never explicitly names it, Violet (the main character) has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a chronic condition that affects the body's connective tissue. Violet constantly battles with her limitations and the accommodations she's willing to accept. A risky game when her school's motto is literally ❝𝚁𝚒𝚍𝚎 𝚘𝚛 𝙳𝚒𝚎❞. Throughout the book, Violet learns more about herself, her condition, and how to wield all the tools at her disposal. Violets journey shows us chronic illness hasn’t to be bad all the time. It’s just challenging. But with some help and the right tools, you can beat them!
