I finished this painting today and I feel like a kid who is rushing home to get her art up on the fridge. I'm so in love with this one that I think it's a keeper for my living room, but we'll see. I asked my readers to share bird dog/hunting dog pictures with me so I could do more of these. I've always been drawn to this style of painting even though I'm (gasp, don't tell Sebastian) more of a cat person than a dog person. But, there is something classic about paintings of hunt scenes and I'm glad I have the confidence and ability to paint them now. I even have the perfect antique frame for it! 16 x 20 original oil on board.
