Send this to someone who might need to hear it! Wedding planning is TOUGH. I mean mentally, physically, and emotionally tough. And that’s before we add in societal pressures and take social media into account.. Immediately after getting engaged, you’re bombarded with everything you should already have done, thought about, or purchased. It’s so easy to immediately be caught up in the newest trends, products, clothes, etc. and lose sight of the most important part of wedding planning - you and your fiancé preparing yourselves for marriage! Lately, I’ve been focusing on making sure I’m the best version of myself by my wedding day (and continuing on into marriage of course) so that I can be the best partner to my husband. I’m a product of divorced, remarried, then divorced parents. I was always that kid that “was never getting married” as a result. Now that I am, I’m not taking it lightly. I plan to work on myself little by little each day to prepare for our future.
