A year ago to the day! Although I can’t get out to see our Rob and commemorate and enjoy camping in the virgin forest this year, I watched “What Dreams May Come”, and a few other of Rob’s favorites. This day in Kagoshima was great… swimming in crystal clear waters, driving up to the mountains, hiking to a cascade waterfall with pools and sprays, swimming with fish that nibbled your toes, rescuing three rare frogs to ensure their longevity to see them released back into the River they were spawned once they reached adulthood and dipping into water-eroded pools with waterfalls rushing over top. Still one of the most beautiful places to date. After, I hiked into a “no go zone” (because of wild, aggressive boars native to the island), something our Rob would’ve done , a new crystal was placed beneath thick moss after scattering a bit of ashes and toasting with champagne. Following this, I was kindly asked to give a speech regarding the allure, conceptions ad future of Kagoshima doing so by incorporating nature and wildlife conservation, eco-sustainable tourism, and promoting local farming and preservation efforts by KCC. It was as though it were meant to be; as nature and Rob went hand in hand. Rob? I’ll be out to see you in the Tokachi volcanic mountain range soon. If not, I’ll still see you soon. I love you my friend, always have and you will stay with me and in my heart forever. Leave a heart if you’ve lost someone, and the heat of some fire if you think of done one you miss often… I do. It’s our memories that keep our loved ones alive. True Immortality.
