On the occasion of 77th Independence Day, Umeed Academy organized a short Celebration for its students and teachers at the terrace of the school premises. The programme commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Faiyazuddin, an Islamic Studies teacher at the academy, followed by the hoisting of the National Flag by our Founder, Mr. Wali Rahmani, and the singing of the National Anthem. Later,a student of class 6, was called upon to give a speech in Hindi on the occasion of Independence day, which was followed by a mesmerizing recitation of a Hindi poem called “Azad” by two students of class 5, next, a student was then called upon to give a short mesmerizing speech in English. The school choir then came up to sing the chorus of “Ae Watan”. The program marked its end with a speech on the unsung heroes during the freedom struggle. The food packages and drinks were then distributed to the students, the children went home with a renewed sense of patriotism, and looking forward to the future celebrations. #77thindependenceday #IndependenceDay
