11 days ago, our country was swallowed by water… hundreds of homes flooded, washed away by mud avalanches … people lost everything… As painful as it was to watch it all, I got goosebumps all over, seeing our little nation step together and pitch in to help in every way possible… We raised funds, shared information, showed support, but most importantly, thousands of people showed up, grabbed a shovel, a broom, hard machinery, whatever it took and made a difference, a big difference and through tears, hard work and meaningful conversations, I remembered once again what matters and what kept me afloat in my story not so long ago… it’s humanity, care and love, from people you’ve never met and I was humbled to’ve been able to give a little piece of that back, to others who needed it so desperately these past days … I’m proud, very proud to be a part of this nation, proud to be a Slovenian 🥹 🇸🇮 #sLOVEnia @grilo @stellakorosec @valeriacetic @andraz_rakuscek . . . #mgforever #grilo #family #slovenia #proud #humanity #people #nation #strenght #westicktogether #floods #poplave2023 #rideon
