Here is my artwork “The Moon Thief” for @archenemyarts show Spectrum 4 opening august 18th with special preview for their collectors tomorrow the 17th! (You can sign up online if interested, Linkin bio) This is a rainbow spectrum show so the artists choose a color to feature in their work. 💙🌈💙 In The Moon Thief, we see the conclusion of a larger story playing out of a girl stealing the moon. Five, giant cat guardians chase her through an enchanted forest. I hope to invite a feeling of childhood wonderment with this artwork and the feeling we had in adolescence at the climax of a good fairytale. The eyes of the girl are individual glitter pieces to give a magical kinetic touch to the artwork. The subtle shimmer throughout the artwork is metallic watercolor and is meant to minutely change the work with one’s movement.
