From Cindy about this image: CATERGORY: timelapse IG: @offdutyeyedoc EXIF: Sony a7iii, 14mm, ISO 3200, 5 sec. 5 sec interval STORY: We had just arrived at JT national park for the Perseids and I immediately started shooting while setting up camp. It was cloudy that evening and the comp was mediocre (right by my tent) so I thought it was a bust. It wasn’t until post processing that I realized what a gem this was. The clouds parted just in time to reveal the starry sky and the peak of the meteor shower! To showcase this, I first spent hours removing all the airplane tracks to give the meteors undivided attention. I then put a mask on every meteor to further highlight them. Lastly, I chose the frame with transitional clouds to stack the meteors (normally one would choose clear sky as the background, but I wanted to show the cloud reveal - it was exquisite)! Each meteor was added in its original location, while being mindful of laws of physics and as natural as possible.
