Lock The Top Of Your Buildings So That People Can't Jump - acrylic on paper. This one is inspired by a recent suicide jump from a building in my hometown. Please note that the artwork is inspired by the event, and is not the illustration. There’s a lot of imagination and added narrative in this painting. Also there’s a problematic part with black humor - provocation in this painting. That’s part of playing with how painting creates communication and narration. Obviously it’s darker than my usual work. It’s also inspired by some movie posters from the 80’s and all of that nostalgia. I personally love to remember all the local video clubs with tons of movie posters on the walls and VHS covers on the shelves. This is some kind of homage to horror movies and movie posters, but inspired by a sad ture story. This portrait is rooted in some of the drawings from a few years ago and a really similar character. I am highly satisfied with color palette and I must say that this painting took a lot of time to be created. Feel free to leave your impressions and comments.
