My first tarp. Made out of new UltraTNT and Ultra100 from @challengesailcloth. The tarp measures 270 cm long, 220 cm wide at the front and 160 cm at the back and weighs 275 g including stuffsack. My first impression after getting the UltraTNT was that it looks like a trashbag. But that adds some extra points to the hiker trash look, so it’s a good thing, right?! I wasn’t sure how it’s gonna hold against sticks, pine cones and needles, but it held up well, even when I intentionally tried to puncture it. It has zero stretch, it’s quiet enough in the wind but it’s really loud in the rain (pretty much the same as DCF). Let’s see what it looks like after some extended use. It’s not perfect, the geometry could’ve been better and I should’ve made the edges narrower.
