A short demonstration of the creation of my artwork, The Moon Thief, for the show Spectrum 4 through Arch Enemy Arts! This show is all about ✨🌈✨ color ✨🌈✨! Each artist has chosen a color from the spectrum to feature in their work. I’ve always wanted to do a blue painting and I figured now was my chance.💙I highly recommend checking out the show, it’s sure to be a colorful one! Watercolor, chalk pastel, charcoal, decoupage on watercolor paper mounted to a cradled wood canvas. 8x16 In, The Moon Thief, we see the conclusion of a larger story playing out of a girl stealing the moon. Five, giant cat guardians chase her through the an enchanted forest. I hope to invite a feeling of childhood wonderment with this artwork and the feeling we had in adolescence at the climax of a good fairytale. The eyes of the girl are individual glitter pieces to give a magical kinetic touch to the artwork.
