New work for @rollingstone! Difficult subject matter so Iβll try to tread lightly here. The piece investigates pop super-producer Dr. Lukeβs return to relevancy, a decade after his fall from grace amidst a messy legal battle with Kesha. My goal was to position the producer in the shadows, illuminated by his past success, and place the viewer in the perspective of a recording artist. I wanted to show that the prospect of working with him promises hits, but at a cost. Digitally painted in Photoshop, swipe for detail and process sketches.
