A beleza, complexidade e interdependência dos vegetais e animais que integram nossos biomas são fontes perenes de aprendizado. Conhecer o valor ambiental, integrativo e simbólico dos ecossistemas brasileiros é, inclusive, um dos caminhos para preservá-los. As cidades também podem ser locais privilegiados para essas vivências por meio do acesso e conservação de equipamentos públicos, como áreas verdes, jardins e praças. Nós não somos seres desligados do meio ambiente. Imaginar outros mundos possíveis implica repensar nossa atual relação com a natureza, da qual fazemos parte. Acreditamos no potencial do acervo do Instituto para promover a defesa intransigente do meio ambiente, dos biomas brasileiros e inspirar uma nova relação ser-humano e natureza. The beauty, complexity and interdependence of plants and animals that make up Brazilian biomes are perennial sources of learning. Knowing the environmental, integrative and symbolic value of Brazilian ecosystems is even one of the ways to preserve them. Cities can also be privileged places for these experiences through access and conservation of public equipment, such as green areas, gardens and squares. We are not disconnected from the environment. Imagining other possible worlds implies rethinking our current relationship with nature, of which we are a part.
