Bugatti 10K 💪🏻 The comeback is on 💃🎉💜 Last week I hit two mega milestones for me…. I ran my first race and hit my highest mileage of 11 miles on my longest run post injury 🎉 My timing for Bugatti was a PW by far but it isn’t all about the clock is it…. I had serious imposter syndrome pitching up to the race so undertrained…. Throw in a mountain to climb to the finish and I was having a serious confidence wobble at the start line 😂 But do’y know the joy and sheer elation I felt at crossing that finish line was amazing! A great turnout from the purple army meant great support both on course & cheering us over that uphill finish line, throw in a beautiful sunny evening but thankfully not quite the sun fest it was last year 🥵 and I was well and truly buzzing to be finishing strong & alive 🤪😂 In the past I know I have ran this course over 6-7 minutes quicker than last Wednesday & so on paper it looks like I’m well off the mark but this is all about coming back safely and consistently…. I raced sensibly had no feed back from the shins after, recovered well and was ready for my longest run by the weekend! Whoop #winning I’m in no doubt I still have lots of work to do to regain my fitness but renewed motivation from Bugatti, going back to class for some HIIT on Tuesday with my girls, followed by more consistent running this week is keeping the focus to drive forward and really appreciate the joy of the runs and the journey back to full fitness all good time 🫶🏻 #heartfull Happy Friday gorgeous people & happy running always - it’s not always the destination sometimes it’s about the joy of the journey ♥️♥️ #almostathletes #racingisback #appreciate #thejourney #10krace #runningjourney #runningcommunity #running #happiness #fitat50
