I’ve always felt deeply connected to animals. When I was growing up I wanted to be a marine biologist because I was so fascinated with the underwater world and the life within it. I always imagined what it would be like to be a part of their world. Then I wanted to be a veterinarian because I wanted to help animals, but didn’t pursue that because I didn’t think I could face the pain if I couldn’t save them. There are so many reasons why I love animals, but I think the main one is because they are pure. I also feel like they can feel your energy, see you for who you are. We are more connected to them than you might think. I can’t understand why some humans have no regard for their lives and well-being. We share a planet with them and it is also their home. When I see animals being killed for no reason, or held in captivity for profit, it truly breaks my heart and makes me feel helpless. I just want all animals to be free and happy 🤍 Spending time with these elephants was so special. They are such gentle giants, and it feels as though they are trying to tell you a story with their eyes.
