idk how many times i’ll see a reddit post of someone complaining about how artists who create digitally aren’t real artists, nor is their digital art real art. as someone who started off as a tradition artist (doodling, printmaking, acrylic, watercolor, oils, guache) & only just started getting serious about digital art 1.5 years ago, i have to say, there’s an entire new set of skills you have to learn with digital art. & it’s difficult & not everyone will have the stamina to learn, but i do believe everyone has the capability for it. & once you do, it’s so worth it. it’s taken me 1.5 years to feel semi confident with procreate. my drawing on paper skills didn’t translate over digitally. i almost had to learn how to draw again (with a little bit of a head start). i’ll always love traditional art much more than digital art, mostly because that’s how i was introduced to art at 3 years old. but digital art has a special place in my heart too. it’s helped me build my stationery shop with much more ease & for that im grateful! i think the people who have a resentment against digital artists are projecting their own insecurities around art. i’d encourage them to get curious instead of judgmental. art is art. vintage ribbons sticker sheet is available for purchase :) i made it for junk journal/collage lovers. but they’d look beautiful in a bujo spread too 🤎 #stationeryshop #vintagestationery #stickersheet #procreateartist #fulltimeartist #junkjournaling #bulletjournal #plannerstickers #stickershop
