Directed my first crowd scene in Congo for our next film project 🎥🇨🇩⭐️ Swipe for BTS 👉🏾 In this scene, a group of young people attend a speech taking place near a football field when a chaotic fight breaks out in protest 🪧 We only had about 5 extras actually booked but as we rehearsed, a crowd of people naturally formed around us when they realised we were shooting a movie. Things went from 0-100 real quick and we managed 2 takes before everyone started taking the riots a bit too seriously 😂🍿 I’ve got a habit of throwing myself into the deep end when it comes to filmmaking but there’s method to the madness 🙆🏾‍♂️ I’ve started to hone my style in a lot more and I’m all about letting actors fill in the blanks to achieve natural performances.
